Chaumont Festival

A0 size poster i sent to Chaumont graphic design festival in 2011.

The theme was “textes ouverts” (open texts). We had to choose a phrase from any book we wanted.

I chose Marcel Proust’s longest phrase (414 words), i tried to show in the poster the sensation i get when i read Proust: hard to read because of its long phrases.

 

In the poster the square is like a brick that is difficult to digest. I used a very classic typography and i did not want to put other graphics in the poster because i believe words are enough to show how difficult it is to read this text.
